FDA Clears Propecia For Treatment

On December 22, 1997 , the United States Food and Drug Administration has granted marketing clearance to Merck & Co., Inc.’s Propecia (TM) (finasteride 1 mg), the first and only pill to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia),for use in men only.
